Uses of Socks that are Rarely Known

Do you like to wear socks? Maybe we assume that socks are only to protect feet from hot or cold weather, even for most people, they use socks to protect their feet from blisters or pain due to shoes. Some are wearing motorbike socks and other socks to absorb sweat that comes out of the soles of the feet, so the feet or shoes do not smell.

However, did you know that your shirt does not only function at that? But socks can actually be supporting fashion and are designed with different models as needed. Here are the types of socks and their uses that are rarely known.

1. Ankle Length
These ankle socks are perfect for wearing if you wear loafers, boat shoes, Oxford, sneakers for sports or a gym. Usually used with casual or informal shoe models.

2. Quarter Length
The length of these socks is slightly higher than the ankle. Suitable for protecting the back of your feet from blisters from wearing shoes. Usually, these socks are used by men with formal and informal shoes. While women prefer to wear it for running shoes.

3. Knee Length
These knee-length socks are usually worn by women when wearing knee-length boots. In four-season countries, knee-length socks are widely worn during winter to keep the body warm.

4. Thigh High
This sock has a length exceeding the knee, slightly below the thigh. You can wear socks with miniskirts or midi skirts if you want to look more unique and funky.

5. Slip-On Paddings
Slip-on socks are usually thin and only cover the sole of the foot to the back of the foot. While the instep remains open. Usually suitable for loafers low cut or ballerina flats.

6. Crew Length
Socks have a length below the calf. Its function is to protect the feet from dust and is usually used for outdoor activities such as hiking or mountain climbing.

7. Calf Length
It has a calf-length and just below the knee, usually used by athletes or those who are actively exercising to get extra protection in the legs.
